The adventures of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliot, who just so happens to be a dragon. Pete, is a curious but lost boy who has survived in the forest for 6 years but he's not alone. He forms a friendship with a kind and warmhearted dragon and the people town try to figure out the secrets of Elliot and try to find Pete's family. Disney has yet again done it Again. After mesmerizing audiences with Fabalous Jungle Book , Zootopia , A little dull BFG here we have with another fantastic fantasy movie. Remakes in Hollywood are rarely good but this time Disney made a well worth deserving remake of a beloved 1977 classic. It has both pros and cons. First of all cast is good , performances are also fairly good. The Best art of movie is the premise in which it is set which actually feels natural , something rarely seen in movies. I don't remember such beautiful premise other than in Revenant and Shallows. Other than that CGI born Eliiot is absolutely fantastic and is rightfully best part of this movie. Another thing I liked was that this movie doesn't fore itself to have wide audience appeal or sequel potential. It's a simple movie which you can enjoy with family with special appeal for children and equal entertainment for those looking for a calm sweet movie. However even Disney has some cone. Even though I find it better than BFG and Near Equivalent to Jungle Book, it's clearly not among the best films of this year due to the fact it plays too simple even though its mesmerizing and being not able to produce much though provoking action rather than just a smile , it's also fairly predictable but it's worth if you wana feel good.Secondly during the initial sequence film draws you in but feels a little out of pace somewhere near the middle even though has a Heart Warming Climax , the same problem was with BFG. Also some CGI for animals other than Elliot felt out of place. But the fact that it deals with family values and is actually good makes it worth watch from a crowd of films that just disappoints. Speaking of its Box Office failure , it suffered the same faith as BFG not able to produce enough attention and not released at right time. Finally if Disney continues to produce movies like this , it can sure attain world domination across Global Audience. This only raises my expectation for March 2017 Beauty and the Beast…. OK, so I know this film is aimed at the younger audience but does it really have to be so cheesy and clichéd? From the get go I realized that it was going to be only for the younger audience and us older folk would just have to grin and bear it. There were numerous times throughout where I felt the hairs stand up on back of my neck and my cringe meter when full throttle. I.e Pete howling like a wolf and when some non important character states "Let's go catch a dragon" I'd like to say the kids will enjoy it but there were two sitting in front of me that were clearly getting bored after 45mins. Average film with average acting It’s a lovely film that resonates all the more so in a summer of louder, more cluttered movies, and knowing that Disney had the confidence to allow Lowery’s vision to flourish is the icing on the cake.
